Ewa Krzaklewska

Studied sociology at the Jagiellonian University in Krakow, as well as at Antioch College (Yellow Springs, USA) and Universita' Cattolica (Milan, Italy). She is finalizing her doctorate at Jagiellonian University, which included research stays at Essex University, Yale University and Oslo University, on transitions to adulthood in Poland.

She has participated in national and international research projects, such as Rapid Qualitative Assessment ‘Gender and Economic Choice' to inform the World Development Report on Gender (World Bank) or international research project on "Reconciliation of work and family life in diverse families in Poland, Spain and Sweden" (Programme People). She coordinated a European-wide ESNSurvey study on student mobility from 2005-2007 and was co-author of 5 reports e.g. "The Exchange Students' Rights. Research Report 2006". As a teacher assistant she led courses on secondary data analysis, empirical research methodologies, qualitative methods and qualitative data analysis at the Jagiellonian University.

Krzaklewska has been also involved in policy work. In 2008 she worked as a member of the High Level Expert Forum on Mobility for the European Commission, and in 2011 she has been involved as a reviewer in creation of the policy review of the Youth Cluster of Social Inclusion entitled ‘Social inclusion of socially excluded youth: more opportunities, better access, and higher solidarity'. She conducted secondary data analysis concerning discrimination on the basis of gender, family situation and civil status for Ministry of Equal Treatment in Poland project "Equal treatment as a standard of the good governance (EU Humane Capital Fund), in 2011 and was an editor and co-author of the Training Programme for Public Administration on Equal Treatment and Antidiscrimination (also gender dimension) She is a member of the Pool of the European Youth Researchers for the Council of Europe and European Commission Youth Partnership as well as a the European Knowledge Centre for Youth Policy (EKCYP) Correspondent. She is a member of the RN "Youth and generation" of the European Sociological Association. 

She has many academic publications, on topics such as youth transitions, gender, youth mobility, and she is an author of numerous research reports.
